Why would anyone give us something to download if it requires a serial number? Unless you have a patch or a keygen, you can only get the serial number from buying the d**ned thing. So basically you might as well buy it. The stupid download is useless. Unless someone can find us somewhere to get the serial. Silly useless companies.

Are those guys saying "very good" or "install Nero and then look for " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE " retarded or what?
Everybody is saying the same thing: we need the serial first, where the heck can we find it?

Like everyone else, I can't get it to install without the serial number. Max gave instructions on how to retrieve the serial number, but the program has to be installed in order to do that...and it won't install without the serial number. So, this download is useless.

If you have the full Nero software package on your machine these are the steps to retrieve the serial number.
Open the command console and type regedit.
Then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE , next SOFTWARE, next AHEAD, next Nero - Burning Rom, finally click on Info. There you will find the serial number.
The problem I have that every time I enter the serial number the frickin install button never lights up so basically I'm stuck at this step even though I have the serial.

I want to play some vqf files. This player is just another one that CANNOT do that, although on your page it is reported to be able to do so. Maybe, it's just extremely unclear how to force it to do so. Thus, there are some asterix ('*') signs on the description page, but I can't see what they really mean.

Like all the others. I got stuck when asked for a serial number. Does anyone have the answer as to where to locate that number or how to bypass that screen during install?
I have used Nero in the past and just loved it. Wish I could install it... ....
Thanks.

Downloaded fine. I could probably give it a much better rating if I could install it. Where would I find the serial number to install it?
