Downloaded this, scanned it and said no viruses.. thought 'great' double clicked to install.. virus alert came up VirtualDNS.dll was quarantined.

Wow - it works just great - and is so much simplar than trying to follow microsofts instructions as to why the media player doesn't play avi!

im using sopcast streaming, i had sound but no visuals.
I downloaded this but i still my streams have sound but no picture.
I just installed this thats it. What am i supposed to do? help me pls thx

We were able to import video (AVI format) to a Windows Movie Maker before after installing AVI Codec Pack. But lately we've been getting the message shown below and no matter how many times we download AVI Codec Pack again, it wouldn't work. Could someone please help? Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance!!!!
The file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\naruto episode 84.avi cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

Fantastic!! This finally worked after trying to get an AVI file playing. I had the classic "Sound-no picture" problem.
Using with Windoze media player 7.

Having trouble with an AVI, downloaded and installed this pack, so happy to see thumb of avi file for first time, but when played the first frame is all that showed, close but no cigar and more importantly no video.
