Winamp 5.1 - Surround Edition is finally out! The most interesting features in this new realease seems to be CodingTechnologies AACPlus encoder, Microsoft WMA encoder and CD Ripping at 8x in free version.
DVD Rebuilder 0.94 is still free! Freeware versions will continue but will not include the extended features. The freeware version is now being distributed complete with the Rockas Installer. This distribution includes all associated apps, includings the recommended versions of the HC and QuEnc encoders.
ratDVD 0.75 was released! This version gives the user more control about the encoded video. DVDs can be analyzed and the new "Constant Average Bitrate" mode allows users to specify the bitrate of the encoded ratDVDs and thus the size of the encoded ratDVD. As you may already know DVD Shrink project is still alive! According to latest rumors and the "official" web site announcement: "DVD Shrink Site IS NO MORE!"
Replying to some questions related to this subject, Doom9 - the administrator of well-known DVD backup community said: "The author never had anything to do with this site, and it going down has nothing to do with the author or software itself. DVD Shrink has no longer been developed for a while now because of personal reasons" - the developer move on to do Nero Recode? heh, another rumor...
